Police say that they both happened early this morning in New Iberia.

Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office investigated the first, which happened around 12:30 at a home on Reynolds Street.  A witness says that 3 black males forced their way through the front door and held her at gunpoint, demanding money.  She indicated that they took electronics and other items from the home and ran away on foot.  She described the suspects as black males, one wearing a red jacket with various logos on it, and the other wearing a black jacket and armed with a handgun.

The second happened around 1:15 at a home on Myrtis Street.  A witness said that 4 black males forced their way into her home, also demanding money at gunpoint.  The suspects made off with money and electronic items.  She described the men, with the first wearing a black jacket with various logos and a white bandanna over his face, while the second suspect had on a red jacket and black bandanna covering his face.

Police believe that the two are connected and have persons of interest in these cases.  Still, they are asking anyone with information to call them at 369-3711.
